A full-body machine, tested and covered

Rowing works legs, back, core and arms in one smooth movement, which is why it is a favourite for efficient cardio. Refurbished rowing machines from refurbed offer commercial-grade equipment for up to 40% less than new. Each machine is refurbished by experts: a used unit is inspected, cleaned, repaired where needed and then sold with a warranty.

Min 12-month warranty: on every rowing machine.
30-day free trial: try the stroke at home first.
Free returns and delivery included: no surprises at checkout.
Flexible payment methods: choose the option that works for you.

Who rowing suits

Time-pressed trainers: one machine covers cardio and strength endurance in short sessions.
Cross-training athletes: a strong aerobic base for running, cycling or team sports.
Small-space homes: rowers are long but narrow, and many store upright.
Gym owners and studio coaches: robust machines for repeated daily use.
Beginners: the movement is easy to learn, and the pace is entirely yours to set.

How to choose your rowing machine

Resistance type

Air and magnetic resistance feel different. Air machines respond to how hard you pull, which suits an intuitive workout. Magnetic and hydraulic systems tend to be quieter. Read the listing to see what each model uses.

Console and tracking

A good monitor shows pace, stroke rate, distance and time. Some models add guided workouts. Decide whether you want simple numbers or a fuller training programme.

Length and seat comfort

Check the rail length so taller rowers can finish the stroke fully, and look for a comfortable seat and secure foot straps.

Footprint and storage

Measure the length of the machine and the room you have. Check whether the model can be stored upright if space is tight, and leave a little clearance behind the seat so the full stroke feels natural.

Noise and neighbours

Flywheel and air resistance machines make a steady whoosh, while magnetic ones are calmer. If you live in an apartment or train early in the morning, this is worth a thought.

Condition

Each listing describes the condition of the machine, and every item is checked by experts and comes with the min. 12-month warranty. Photos show what cosmetic signs of use to expect.

Brands and models

The range includes Technogym, with the Skillrow and the Skillup rowing machine, as well as the Life Fitness Heat Performance rowing machine. The selection is small and changes, so check the listings for what is available right now.

Refurbished vs new

Choosing refurbished can save you up to 40% compared with new. It is also more sustainable vs new: a rowing machine is a solid, long-lasting piece of equipment, and giving it a second life means fewer new machines are manufactured.

Refurbished vs second hand

A second-hand rower from a private seller generally has no warranty, no tested condition and little history of use. A refurbished rower is checked by experts and backed by a min. 12-month warranty and a 30-day free trial.
