A good pram can last through more than one child, which is exactly why refurbished baby strollers make sense. You get a model that has been checked by experts, often from the brands you have seen in the park, for up to 40% less than new.
Refurbished means a used item has been tested, cleaned, repaired where needed and sold with a warranty.
If you plan more than one child, a sibling-ready frame is worth a look: sibling set-ups and ride-on boards, such as the Baby Jogger board, add a second seat or standing space without a new stroller.
2-in-1 and combination models, like the Bugaboo Fox, the Joolz Geo 2 or the ABC Design Salsa 4 Air, include a carrycot and a seat so the stroller grows with your child. Single-seat models are lighter.
Smooth city pavements need less than parks and paths. Larger or air-filled wheels give a softer ride on bumpy ground.
Measure the boot of your car and the space at home, then compare with the listing.
Adjustable handles make a difference if both parents push. A stroller such as the Cybex Priam Platinum has a distinct style, so look at the pictures carefully.
Each listing describes the item’s condition. Experts check every product and the min. 12-month warranty applies.
Among the brands are ABC Design, Asalvo, Baby Jogger, Bebeconfort and Britax Römer. The listings also include Kinderkraft, Maxi-Cosi, Foppapedretti, Lionelo and MoMi. Current examples are the Maxi-Cosi Eva3, the Kinderkraft Trig 3 and the Foppapedretti Hurrà.
For the buying decision, a simple order helps: pick the type (combination or single seat), then the weight and folded size, then the brand and design you like best. That keeps the choice manageable, even with many listings. Premium models, such as the Bugaboo Fox, the Cybex Priam or the Joolz Geo 2, often come with several seat positions, so read the description for what each one offers.
New strollers can cost a lot, and refurbished models are up to 40% less. A stroller that is passed on is also more sustainable vs new, since it avoids one extra new frame.
Used strollers from private sellers rarely include a warranty, and brakes, folding joints and wheels are hard to check remotely. Refurbished models are checked by experts and include a min. 12-month warranty plus a 30-day free trial.
